Prof.Dr. Burhanettin BAYDAŞ

Prof. Dr. Burhanettin BAYDAS was born in Bingöl in 1966. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Elazig. He got into the Faculty of Veterinary Science at Firat University, followed by a successful graduation in 1991. He began his postgraduate work at the Department of Physiology of Graduate School of Health Sciences at Firat University. He received his PhD in 1991. The title of his dissertation was Investigation of the Effect of Glucagon on Changing Peripheric Metabolisms of Thyroid Hormones in Liver Failure Induced Rats. His career began as an assistant professor in 1996 at the Department of Physiology in the Faculty of Veterinary Science at Yuzuncu Yil University, located in the city of Van. His associate professorship promotion, 1998, took only two years, minimum and record time. 6 years later in 2004 he received his tenure as full professor at Yuzuncu Yil University. He was the Director of Vocational School of Adilcevaz from 1999 to 2001. He served as a member of Board of Faculty of Veterinary Science at the same university from 2001 to 2004. He also worked as a member of Education Committee of Faculty of Veterinary Science. Later, he was appointed as head of the Department of Physiology at the Faculty of Veterinary Science from 2004 to 2009 and as a member of Senate from 1999 to 2005. Finally he was appointed as the vice rector at Bingöl University in 2009. He is a member of Bingöl University Board and a member of Senate. He speaks English fluently. He is married and has four children.
